Patient Portal

At Maverick MRI, we are dedicated to offering the most innovative approach to personalized preventive health screening. Our pioneering approach combines the power of cutting-edge AI analytics & reliable MRI technology to quickly assess baseline scans for symptomless conditions or developing issues. Your detailed scan records are securely stored in our intelligent cloud system, so when it comes time for periodic checkups, you can have peace of mind knowing that early treatment could lead to long years spent happy & healthy!

What To Expect

1. Explanation of the procedure: Before the scan, the technician will explain the MRI process, review your MRI safety form with you, and discuss what to expect during the scan and any specific instructions the patient should follow.

2. Preparation: The patient will be asked to remove any metal objects, such as jewelry or hairpins, as they can interfere with the imaging. They may also be asked to wear a gown if they are wearing clothing with metal zippers or snaps.

3. Entering the scanner: The patient will be positioned on a table that is slid into the MRI machine. They will be asked to lie still during the scan, which typically takes 10-45 minutes.

4. Noise level: The MRI machine makes a loud noise during the scan. Patients are usually given earplugs or headphones to wear to reduce the noise level.

5. Contrast agent: In some cases, a contrast agent may be used to highlight certain areas of the body. This is typically given through an IV and can cause a warm or flushed feeling in the body.

6. After the scan: After the procedure, the patient can return to normal activities. The images will be reviewed by a radiologist and the results will be sent to the referring physician.

7. Results: Results will be sent to the patient’s physician within 24 hours, then uploaded to the Maverick MRI Patient Portal within 48 hours. The referring doctor or primary care physician (PCP) will be in contact with the patient to discuss the results and next steps if needed.
